Brianne: Intro

Hello everyone! This is Brianne O'Neill. I am so psyched for Ireland. Philly is great but I can't wait to get out of the United States. The politics over here are killing me slowly. Some information about me: I am originally from West Chester, PA but I now live on South Street, I am a Communications major and a Psych minor, I am a production assistant for PBS KIDS Sprout (Comcast cable's 24 hour preschool channel), I am a singer/songwriter who plays guitar and piano, and my heritage is mostly Irish. I was really excited to learn that Dustin is so interested in Irish music because that is half the reason I am going over there. I will be bringing my guitar and hopefully I can join in at a "session" at a pub or something of the sort. I am very interested to see what kind of songs this trip inspires me to write. I can't wait to travel around Ireland and I was hoping to make it off the island at some point too. Amsterdam anyone?? I am really looking forward to seeing the way media works in Ireland, especially children's media. I am really interested in writing children's books and I feel that the more I understand how to connect to children all over the world, the easier it will be to successfully write them. Children's TV is interesting too, I think I might want to try to creative side rather than production though. I can't to see everyone on June 14th! Until then...
